MusicGuerrilla was a project I worked on senior year (2011) with a grant from Babson College.
With MusicGuerrilla, I wanted to play around with conventional notions of music distribution, specifically in the DJ/Artist community. Before the advent of streaming services, there seemed to be space in the market for purchasing and acquiring music using a model of scarcity predicated on the notion that DJ's do not like to share their source files. Each day, we would showcase one artist and allow the community to download one unreleased song from their discography. After the allotted number of downloads for the day was reached, the day's sale would come to an end.
